But when the international media takes note of the ongoing media war – a spate of newspaper and channel launches – in India, we need to bring that to you. Just to remind you that India is a happening market. “India is going from a developing economy into a developed one, and the media are leading that change,” says Sameer Manchanda, joint chief executive for CNBC-TV18, backed by U.S. business news channel CNBC and a Bombay broadcaster. The bottomline is, I believe, it will not take much time to spread that to the digital arena.
