Which is pretty much akin to saying it is all vaporware for now..Tesco, the biggest retailer in UK, with a huge presence online, is looking at movie dowloads, “following considerable success with its music offer”. It claims to have about 10 percent of the UK music download market, a claim I find very hard to believe (Mike?; Simon?)
Anyway, Tesco.com CEO said “The exciting thing about digital is where you can take it in the future…As the technology grows, we’ll be able to turn Tesco.com into a digital download store of all sorts, rather than just music. Clearly, film would be next.” Yep…sure…buy Wippit..

Tesco.com started its DVD rental service back in March 2004 when it signed a deal with Video Island’s Screen Select.
The retailer is now the world’s largest online grocer and recently announced sales of $1.4 billion (yes!) for its online operation, up 24.1 percent on the previous year…
