This is a pretty smart move by Vodafone, and a pretty intense exercise in product placement. A new street racing game from THQ Wireless — called Juiced — is based on the car-modification and racing scene popularised in films like The Fast and the Furious. From the pictures it looks like a pretty slick game, but the interesting thing is that all communication — from challenging rivals to a fight to having people join your crew — is done via video calling on your Vodafone Live handset. You’re given six to choose from at the start of the game. Not only does the game promote Vodafone Live, but also video calling — a 3G feature that has yet to really take off. The demagraphics of the game players should match Vodafone’s interest pretty closely too…the game will be released on the PS2, Xbox and Vodafone Live.
