MobuzzTV, a spanish mobile content producer, has announced the launch of a “daily video magazine for 3G mobile phones”. I like the description, I think it’s a little more apt than mobile television. “The company has produced a series of three-minute programmes covering technology and culture. The shows are filmed specifically for small screens and written with the mobile viewer in mind.” The pieces are being promoted by free viewing at mobile.mobuzztv.com and www.MobuzzTV.com.
Versaly Entertainment has announced CelebTalk, a new video channel on Sprint. The channel seems to be simply interviews with celebrities, with content produced in partnership with StudioLA.TV. The channel will have 80 interviews available at any given point (including archived interviews) and costs US$4.99 per month.
Mobile content supplier InnoVeda Mobile Solutions has secured the rights to supply Fashion TV content to mobile phones in South Africa.
MD Bertus Preller says unlike many other electronic fads, supplying content to the mobile phone industry is not a “land grab, rather it is a slow process that includes a lot of expenditure before we see any real revenue flow”.
