M:Metrics And Seasonal Content Usage

Infospace recently got savaged by stock analysts for claiming a slowdown in mobile content revenues was due to “seasonality”, but now M:Metrics has come out and claimed the same thing. Apparently people use more mobile content over the holidays, which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me…I would have thought during the holidays you could find better things to do, that require more time so you can’t do them while (for example) waiting for the bus to work…

Mind you, since things like photo messages are included I can see the possibility — you’re more likely to send pictures from your beach holiday than your cubicle. Anyway, M:Metrics attributed the relatively high increase in sending mobile pictures to interoperability agreements between Cingular, Verizon and T-Mobile.
