The New York Times has an interesting article on Donald E. Stout, co-founcer of NTP, the company that recently settled a $450 million licensing dispute with Blackberry producers Research In Motion. The company now plans to go after others to license its “wireless email” patent — not the technology, that’s already far beyond anything the patent covers — the license is basically to prevent legal action. Nokia has already bought a license. I think we’ll be seeing more of this sort of thing…
