Indiagames, one of the emerging mobile gaming companies and certainly one of the biggest in India, has landed two big name investors: Macromedia and Cisco, for a total of about $4 million, reports Matt Maier
The Mumbai-based company is majority owned by TOM Online (themselves a unit of Hutchinson Whampoa), operator of one of China’s most successful Internet portals, which took an 80 percent stake ($18 million) in Indiagames, this past December.
Macromedia’s interest is clear: Indiagames is an early Flash Lite developer with carrier relationships in Japan, China, and India.
