The NPR Shop Operations Analyst maintains the merchandising and operations of the NPR Shop website to achieve NPR’s revenue and user service goals; executes, analyzes and maintains marketing efforts; creates and maintains NPR Shop homepage standards; maintains a database using Microsoft Access or comparable tools for the management and analysis of inventory; builds and distributes merchandising reports as needed for internal distribution; manages internal sales; and assists E-Commerce Manager as needed.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred, with a minimum of 1 year e-commerce experience; 1-2 years consumer goods marketing experience; proficiency with relational databases and business intelligence software including advanced knowledge and experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access; and a minimum 2 years experience working with Javascript, CSS, Macromedia Suite, HTML and Photoshop. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail; outstanding analytical skills; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; and high level of comfort with problem solving. Must have experience and knowledge of traditional retail operations; demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently; and proven ability to consistently work well with others, demonstrating at all times respect for the diverse constituencies at NPR and within the public radio system.
Prefer Oracle experience; experience in a demanding, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, and experience with IBM WebSphere platform or other comparable commerce operating system.
