Curious move on mForma‘s part, as it tries to move beyond its “games” image…Jonathan Sacks, former president of AOL Interactive, has been tapped as president and COO of mForma…the move comes as the company “expands and shifts its organization to accommodate significantly higher levels of global production amid accelerating worldwide demand for mobile entertainment applications.”
The idea is to help mForma expand beyond its games franchises…Sacks will be tapped to work on mobile subscriptions services, and of course, liaise with the media industry…
Prior to joining America Online in 1998, Sacks was president of the Hub, a joint venture between AOL and New Line Cinema…. Prior to that, Sacks was president of IDG Books Worldwide where he developed the highly successful “Dummies” series…
