This is a little disconcerting…”Symbian anti-virus specialist SimWorks announced today that it has identified 52 previously unknown trojans for the Symbian platform, more than all of the trojans and other malware for Symbian based devices combined identified to date…Obviously by producing large numbers of these things you greatly improve the odds of someone actually downloading and installing them.” This could be bad news for sites offering services for people to sell mobile content, if people get the idea that only mobile portals can be trusted. Still, I’m sure there’s a solution the services can use rather than have anti-virus software on every handset.
