Exchange4Media.com: Bharti Tele-Ventures, one of India’s top-listed telecoms service providers, is planning to expand broadband and fixed-line telephone services to new markets in India, including the metro areas of Mumbai and Kolkata and states in the south and west.
It is expanding the services across the country within the next 18 months. Along with the existing Airtel business, Rediffusion gets to handle Bharti’s fixed line and broadband services. Fixed line currently accounts for 14 – 15 per cent of revenues for Bharti. This piece of business was being handled out of Percept earlier.
