India’s Cricket Board Plans A Cricket Channel

Exchange4Media.com: While Zee Telefilms, ESPN-Star Sports and state-owned Prasar Bharti slug it out for rights to telecast cricket matches organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the all-powerful board is planning to launch a 24-hour cricket channel of its own…it’s a strange situation where the match organiser itself is getting into the business of telecasting it. I think it’s one of its kind of business model, as far as I know. Will it work, I don’t know.
