POSITION SUMMARY: This person will possess experience as a sales engineer with a technology company, preferably selling media and/or marketing technology solutions to media and entertainment firms, marketers and agencies. He/she will bring the requisite team energy to support sales and work directly with engineering, creative services, marketing and product management. The successful candidate will possess 8 – 10 years of related experience. Ability to provide technical guidance, software systems design guidance, and expert engineering analysis in the areas of web based application software.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Maven sales and business development teams in communicating the value of the Maven IP-VOD framework.

Create and design customized demonstrations and proof-of-concepts leveraging the Maven framework.

Provide customers with a comprehensive understanding of our products and services.

Respond to technical RFI’s and RFP’s.

Strong presentation skills and ability to present business solutions to senior executives as well as technology to engineers.

Ability to present intricate architectures (“deep dive”) to senior level technical personnel.

Experience in architecting/developing complex, tiered Internet applications and sales engineering is ideal.

Ability to work effectively with engineering, marketing and sales in a rapidly changing environment.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Technical Knowledge:

Programming Languages/Operating Environments: Java, J2EE, DHTML, Flash, NT, and UNIX.

Software Packages: application servers, database servers, content management systems, content publishing

Experience Base Should Include:

Development and sales of on-line marketing applications

Development and sales of video delivery systems incorporating streaming and/or download

Assisted with integration engagements incorporating commerce, content management, provisioning servers, personalization systems, digital rights management, digital asset management, and/or advertising systems.

COMPENSATION: This leadership position will be remunerated via a base salary, plus bonus or commission against sales goals, as well as stock options.
