Mumbai to Witness a Print Media Battle

Business Standard: Mumbai is going to see a war in print media with three new newspapers to reach readers’ doorsteps in the next few months.
A regional media player, Dainik Bhaskar, is tying up with Zee Group to launch a yet-to-be-named daily newspaper in Mumbai, while Delhi-based Hindustan Times is also planning a daily from the port city. Both will be challenging the existing leader in Mumbai, The Times of India, who is also launching another daily called Bombay Mirror. It will be interesting to watch the battle while all the three players are busy poaching people from the existing players like Bombay Mid-Day and Indian Express offering huge salary hikes. I regret not being in Mumbai, though I hate the traffic there.
