Warner Music Group: New Media Marketing Manager (Mobile)

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of New Media Marketing, the Manager of New Media Marketing is responsible for initiating, fulfilling, and analyzing comprehensive and effective mobile marketing campaigns for WSM’s audio and video releases. This person will also develop new revenue generating audio, video, text, and gaming mobile products and applications for the material in the WMG archives.

Responsibilities:

– To create and manage strategic partnerships with mobile carriers and third party aggregators

– To initiate and execute creative product promotions throughout both the online and mobile space to generate sales of mobile specific products and bring awareness to physical CDs and DVDs

– To create, manage, and fulfill all mobile contests and sweepstakes

– To work closely with the Senior Director of New Media Marketing to further exploit all existing strategic partnerships

– To work with both the SVP of New Media Strategy and the Senior Director of New Media Marketing to build awareness for the Rhino brand through mobile contests, promotions, and strategic partnership efforts

– To thoroughly analyze the effectiveness of all promotions and to report to Senior Director of New Media Marketing the effectiveness of

these promotions on a weekly basis and to the division’s senior staff on a monthly basis

– To create marketing plans for all priority projects

– To initiate and maintain an effective one-to-one marketing strategy that includes the collection of user names, the management and segmentation of those names, and the marketing to those opt-in users

– To attend weekly Web team and Marketing meetings and be a positive, creative part of the team process

– To regularly inform the marketing department of mobile opportunities

– To hire and supervise outside consultants where necessary

– To customize each project plan to target appropriate mobile opportunities and partners

– To stay current with all developing trends and news in the mobile area and report on it to the New Media and Marketing departments

– To represent the company at public functions, trade shows, conferences, and events, when necessary

– To create and maintain a consistent, exciting, energized, verbal and visual personality when communicating with those inside and outside the company

Qualifications:

– Strong knowledge of both the mobile and Internet space with at least

three years of experience working in a promotional capacity within the mobile field

– Strong verbal and communication skills

– Outgoing personality

– Strong pop culture and music knowledge

– Strong computer skills (both PC and Mac)

– Ability to work well in group situations

– Ability to analyze statistical information and generate productivity reports
