Amazon.com is looking for a Content Acquisition Manager (CAM) for our forthcoming Digital Video Store. The CAM’s job will be to find and license content from content owners near and far. Specifically, the CAM will: identify new business opportunities; manage long-term relationships; negotiate and close deals; develop detailed forecasts; track weekly progress; and interact successfully with people internal and external to Amazon.com.
The ideal candidate has done this kind of thing before, perhaps working in acquisitions at a cable channel or a home video entity, and can demonstrate that they are good at it, having developed successful partner relationships and achieved ambitious sales goals in the past.
Potential for growth at Amazon.com is important on both sides, which will require a love for technology, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong business strategic and analytical skills. This is not just a fun and challenging job, it is also an opportunity to help shape the future of media.
