Special Ops Media: Senior Online Media Planner/Buyer

New York based interactive entertainment advertising/marketing agency Special Ops Media is seeking a Senior Online Media Planner/Buyer to add to its team servicing clients in film, music, general entertainment, and consumer products companies. Our clients include major and independent film studios (on both theatrical and DVD campaigns), record labels, video game publishers/distributors, as well as major CPG companies.

Key responsibilities include conferring with media, account services, and creative team as they identify media goals, objectives, and strategies for implementing comprehensive online advertising campaigns including: opt-in email, rich-media opportunities, banner ads, site sponsorships, contextual ads, paid search, search engine optimization, value-add programs, etc.

Position entails negotiating media contracts and managing vendor relationships as well as maintaining and reconciling monthly media budgets. This position also requires research, maintaining and recording of trends, innovations, and changes that affect online media buying as well as conferring with data analytics to monitor campaigns and provide detailed performance analysis and recommend optimization to campaigns to ensure that client goals are met.

Eligible candidates have a BA/BS in Media/Advertising, Communications, Marketing or similar field with some media planning and negotiating media contracts experience in an ad agency. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment with multi-disciplinary teams are a must. Potential candidates possess the ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects, independently and efficiently, in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Candidate must have very strong PC, Microsoft Office and Internet skills and a thorough understanding of CPA, CPC, and CPM media buys as well as ad-serving technologies.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Exposure to interactive/online advertising for a minimum of 1-3 years is required. EOE.
