New York based interactive entertainment advertising/marketing agency Special Ops Media is seeking an Online Marketing Manager to add to its team servicing clients in film, music, general entertainment, and consumer products companies. Our clients include major and independent film studios (on both theatrical and DVD campaigns), record labels, video game publishers/distributors, as well as major CPG companies.
Key responsibilities include managing multiple client relationships and coordinating the execution of national interactive marketing and publicity campaigns. These individuals confer with clients, and both media and creative teams as they identify marketing goals, objectives, and strategies for implementing comprehensive online advertising/marketing campaigns including: online press/promotions, opt-in email, banner ads, site sponsorships, editorial features, sweepstakes, contextual ads, paid search, search engine optimization, etc.
Online Marketing Managers must manage account teams, media buyers, designers and any other personnel required to carry out each campaign. They are required to keep the clients abreast of all activity through daily updates and comprehensive weekly reports.
Marketing Managers must view their accounts on a macro level, identifying ways to better serve the client and recognizing ways to take advantage of new opportunities and partnerships. This position therefore requires some research, maintaining and recording of trends, innovations, and changes that affect marketing as well as conferring with data analytics to monitor campaigns and provide detailed performance analysis and recommend optimization to clients to ensure that campaign goals are met.
Eligible candidates have a BA/BS in Advertising, Communications, Marketing or similar field with some office experience, preferably in an agency environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment with multi-disciplinary teams are a must. Potential candidates possess the ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects, independently and efficiently, in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Candidate must have very strong PC, Microsoft Office and Internet abilities.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Some exposure to interactive/online marketing experience is a plus! EOE.
