There are more mobile phones than computer connected to the internet, and the small devices are overtaking their older brothers in other important ways. “According to the Online Publishers Association’s latest report, the first half of 2004 grossed $853 million in online content spending, with a growth rate of 14 percent. That means that within just a couple of years, the paid content model for the mobile platform will have surpassed the Web content market in revenue…mobile content buying has reached the same market penetration as Web-content buying, and the mobile market is clearly in fast growth mode.”
