3G Networks Still Missing Compelling Content – Pt 1


Here’s a rather scathing view of content on 3G, that “predictable but unit-shifting fare of footie, ringtones, horoscopes, weather and the like”. He does have a point that there isn’t a great deal of interestingly original content for 3G – at least, content that’s widely available. But I think people want the basics before they get to any fancy stuff. “What the business is crying out for is new ideas. Fun ideas. Fab ideas. In fact, any idea will do, just so long as it keeps people reaching for the ‘download now’ key.” (Word to the wise…don’t use the contraction “fab” unless you’re talking about Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders…)
