Omron Produces Face Recognition for Mobile Phones

Omron has developed a face recognition technology for use with any mobile device with a camera, intending it as a biometric lock for the device. It claims the software “tests successfully 99 times out of 100”, which is pretty good – in fact better than other facial recognitions systems I looked at a few years ago. Anyway, despite my doubts as to the accuracy of facial recognition systems it does have the advantage of not requiring any extra hardware on the phone… (via Picturephoning)
