I don’t think its going to be a “killer app”, which is normally defined as something that causes the majority of the population to use a particular thing and bring it into the mainstream, but mobile games are evolving. They are slowly moving away from something done as a “time filler” – such as when you’re waiting for a bus or a date to show up – to an activity that is sought out in its own right. However, as the article points out, the time when serious gamers decide that a mobile handset is the best platform for a game is still a fair way off…
