FCC Wants Children Shielded from Cellphone Adult Content

Expect this to send chills down the spines of U.S. companies betting on mobile content…as it is, entertainment is the biggest driver of mobile content, and how you define it is as fluid a line as it is in any other media. FCC’s wireless division has said that the industry should mount an education campaign so parents know how they can shield their children from adult content as more and more have mobile phones.
FCC asked the wireless industry association, CTIA, to launch some sort of campaign for this…and asked the industry to learn from efforts in UK, Australia and Israel (all of which we cover extensively on our sister site MocoNews.net)
