Amazon.com is looking for a Content Acquisition Manager (CAM) for Digital Paid Text initiatives. This role requires world-class sales, negotiation and account management skills, as well as excellent organizational and analytical skills. The CAM will be responsible for negotiating contracts and managing relationships with content providers such as book and magazine publishers, content aggregators and wholesalers, and any other potential sources of content for Amazon’s paid digital text initiatives. Specifically, the CAM will negotiate content licensing deals with large and medium-size content companies; achieve aggressive content acquisition goals; manage long-term relationships with external partners & identify new business opportunities; create analysis for goal-setting; develop detailed forecast and track weekly progress against it; create and deliver compelling presentations about Amazon’s programs; interact successfully with peers and executives internally and externally.
The ideal candidate has experience in the publishing industry and is an excellent negotiator and sales or business development professional that has developed successful partner relationships and achieved ambitious sales goals. They are world-class executors who are detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize effectively. Their approach to problem-solving combines creativity with analysis and a focus on data. Knowledge and passion for technology is important, as is an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This person will be located in Seattle, WA.
