A recent article that I didn’t blog about operators somehow losing $6 billion due to unfulfilled MMS deliveries has been explained. It was apparently based on Juniper research claiming MMS revenues would double to $42billion in 2005, a claim which Mike Masnick is skeptical of. “That’s quite a lot of money — and if it had actually happened, that operators wouldn’t be so shy about publishing actual numbers. It’s also likely that there wouldn’t be all these stories pointing out that no one is actually using MMS.” (from our sister publication PaidContent)
