Kids ring up huge mobile bills

The old trick of signing people up for a cheap or free offer and then hooking them into an ongoing charged service has made it to mobile phones. What is particularly complaint-worthy is that children can use premium messaging to buy things through mobile phones, whereas before they needed a credit card (which they hopefully didn’t have). Parents should check with their provider how to block access to certain numbers, and prevent their children from using premium services and overseas numbers in this way.
