“Content providers are doing things in the mobile space they know they could never get away with on the wired Web. But mobile users don’t leave their common sense lying in front of their computer screens, and won’t open their wallets just because they’re on a phone.” This article has a point – current mobile content in most of the world is horrendously overpriced and sells solely for its novelty value, which is wearing off as you read this. Obviously content providers have to get paid, but at the moment I think there are too many people in the value chain and a perception of a low market to sell to, which keeps prices up.
