Smallware: those little utilities that do one thing (maybe two) but do them very well. They typically have no installation- just a EXE file that you put where you want and execute from there. They are always free, always small and written to accomplish a specific task the creator needed to do. Marktaw has compiled a good list of smallware that is listed by category:
- File Management
- Networking and Chat
- Security
- Graphic Design
- Macro
- Information Management
- Games
- Project Management/ Getting Things Done
- Misc.
There are dozens of little programs in this listing from this web site with a lot of other useful information and I recommend checking it out.
