Saudi Arabia to punish immoral use of 3G technology

In yet another (although unsurprising) skirmish in the battle to prevent new technology from supporting old vices, the Saudi Arabian Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has warned that anyone using 3G technology for “immoral purposes” faced punishment. The kingdom has only just handed over a 3G licence and allowed the importation of camera phones.
