Audible seeks a savvy editorial superstar with 7-10 years of experience to develop and oversee the editorial direction and voice of the Audible.com Web site.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsbile for creating and implementing editorial features, merchandising strategies and promotions that maximize sales of Audible’s growing library of digital audio content both at Audible.com as well as for Audible’s growing list of online content and ecommerce partners.
Ideal candidate will be expert at leveraging popular culture trends, seasonal opportunities, news events, etc. to create compelling and relevant merchandising experiences for Audible’s growing customer and visitor base. Director will be responsible for specific areas of the web site including staff/customer picks, customer reviews, bestseller lists, book club lists as well as the development of new merchandising pages that will drive sales of Audible’s digital audio content.
Requirements:
— Deep working knowledge of the book and/or audio-book publishing industry
– relevant editorial experience for online magazine or ecommerce provider
