Toyota entered competition with the Segway earlier this year when it released info about the i-unit personal mobility vehicle (PMV). The futuristic gizmo can be operated in either a low-speed mode which leaves the rider in an upright position or the high-speed mode which reclines the operator somewhat. A rider recognition system can provide personalized information, music and body color according to the individual’s preferences and emotions. The vehicle is a concept right now but Toyota is showing the prototype all over the place. Engadget has some nice photos of the i-unit for those of you who can’t wait until it shows up near you. I only have one question- where do you hang the tray at Sonic?
