The CEO of XM Radio claims to have been in discussions with several telcos and manufacturers about putting the radio service on mobile phones, claiming that it was a natural fit. XM offers 68 commercial-free music channels, 33 news channels, sports, talk and entertainment, traffic and weather and a playlist that includes over 2 million titles. The service cost US$9.99 per month, and has nearly three million subscribers. A good number, but nowhere near the billion mobile users that are expected to inhabit the world next year, a good market for any content producer.
