I-mode, the wireless internet service that uses a subset of HTML rather than WML (wireless markup language) is moving out of Japan, where it has been a huge success. Britain has been lagging behind many other countries, but now the mobile operater O2 will launch an i-Mode service after licensing the technology from Japanese telco NTT DoCoMo.
