China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has been reported to have pushed for the Chinese government to issue four 3G licences – two for its homegrown standard TD-SCDMA, which lags behind the other standards in terms of quality.
Meanwhile the growth of the Chinese mobile market slowed in October, although they still added 4.96 million new mobile subscribers, down from 4.97 million in September.
