Digital Bridges has secured another $18 million from its investors to expand into its mobile game business in North America and Asia. An analyst is quoted (probably the same quote that encouraged the investment) as saying that in 2009 the mobile games market will be worth $8 billion, with downloadable games generating 82 percent of revenues. Active users are expected to grow from 32 million to 220 million over the same period.
