Smoking ban ignites SMS vote campaign

SMS service provider iTAGG.com has offered a service for Brits to vote on the expected announcement by UK health secretary John Reid to ban smoking in restaurants and pubs which sell hot food. The idea is that people can SMS either allowthem, allowus, banthem or banus for 30p plus VAT (5p of which goes to a cancer charity). The results of the vote are here – so far there’s only one. It will be interesting to see how many votes are actually cast.
