Mobile games machine revving up

Although mobile games have traditionally sold a lot less than ringtones and wallpapers, many companies believe they will soon take off in a similar way to the early Internet companies. However, there is still uncertaintly as to who will actually benefit from the boom. “Most gamers prefer to pay less and throw a game away after they play it,” said Bango CEO Ray Anderson. In Germany they are promoting mobile games on television, leading to the comment “It could be argued that in the short-term at least, the TV companies will be making the most profits from mobile games rather than content providers or the operators.”
