Reporo stakes hopes on mobile shopping

Technology firm Reporo has opened an operator independant Java-based mobile shopping portal. After registration consumers download the Java application to their phone and can begin shopping. Reporo claim to have solved the problem of poor user experience when shopping on a mobile, but I’m not sure that will help. Current stores include The Book People, CDWOW and Blackwells, none of which strike me as the kind of product people will feel the need to buy on the move, rather than wait until they pass a shop or get home to their internet connection. Still, if the set-up costs aren’t high Reporo may not need many customers to be profitable.
