Yahoo has appointed a new media & entertainment head, and a high profile one at that: Lloyd Braun, who was ousted last year as the chairman of ABC Entertainment. Braun said he believed that he could bring the same skills used in TV to creating new entertainment for Yahoo.
WSJ: (sub. req.) He said he didn’t have a specific mandate and didn’t see any problem areas at Yahoo that needed fixing [Strange way to start a job]. Braun’s responsibilities will include Yahoo’s content related to movies, TV, entertainment, music, games, finance, news and weather, sports, health and kids.
Hollywood Reporter: Jim Moloshok, the former topper at Warner Bros. Online who joined Yahoo two years ago and recently changed his title to senior vp entertainment and content acquisition, will report to Braun.
