T-Mobile music services has seen strong growth in 2004. European ringtone downloads during the first three quarters of this year were 8.7 million compared to 4.8 million during the entire year of 2003. Ringtone revenues are up three-fold from September last year and account for more than half of T-Mobile’s download revenues. In addition, the company’s most recently launched download service, Mobile Jukebox, has seen steady initial uptake over the past month. The telco is touting the success of its marketing alliance with The Black Eyed Peas, which have had more than 100,000 downloads over T-Mobiles service.
