Jeremy Allaire wrote on the “Bandwidth Versus Storage” debate about a month ago in our ContentNext Series, expanding his view on what Mark Cuban, founder of Broadcast.com and HDNet, and James Murdoch, current CEO of Sky in the UK had said a few days earlier: that storage trumps bandwidth in the delivered media world.
Well, Mark Cuban replied last night to Jeremy’s post, in the comments..go the end of the page…
“Which comes first, 2OTBs drives for under 1k dollars, or 20mbs for under 30 bucks a month IN THIS COUNTRY. Better yet, in YOUR neighborhood in the US of A…Hard Drive bandwidth is going to increase a whole lot faster than download speeds to the home. Its not a quality issue. DVD or VHS quality, makes big disks all the more compelling faster…”
