Universal Music in UK has revealed plans to launch WAP sites for all of its artists which will then be promoted on all of its marketing material. The first site, for Island Records Group band McFly, went live this week, with sites to follow from the company’s entire roster, including Busted and Girls Aloud.
The sites will be promoted to all the fan databases, now numbering more than 3m registered users, that the label has created for its artists, on CD packaging and promotional material, and via the 260 artist Web sites.
