RealNetworks trying to pull another stunt, after its 49 cent songs sale…it has signed up Adelphi University to offer its subscription music service Rhapsody for free to students who live on campus, and $2 a month for commuters starting today.
The free offer is through the end of May 2005, after which the service will be available for $2 per month. Faculty and staff are not eligible.
Burning is 79 cents per song…
Adelphi University president: “At a time when copyright laws are being tested, we are pleased to offer this legal service to Adelphi University students.”
