TotalVid is a rapidly growing Internet Video on Demand service located in Norfolk, VA. Our company maintains the world’s largest library of niche video downloads for action sports, travel, motorsports, and more. We are a subsidiary of Landmark Communications, a diversified media company with a track record of success.
We are in search of a Director of Business Development to identify and develop partnership opportunities that will expand TotalVid’s consumer audience. TotalVid is looking for experienced candidates to build out our network of distribution partnerships. The candidate will collaborate across the business functions (marketing, technology, legal) and drive projects to their successful completion.
This position reports to the General Manager (CEO).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
– Establish and manage partnerships that will expand TotalVid’s consumer audience (specifically focusing on portals, ISPs, and consumer product/retail partnerships)
– Lead in all aspects of deal development — research, prospecting, structuring, negotiating and closing
– Collaboration across the business functions (marketing, technology, legal) and drive projects to their successful completion.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
– 3+ years experience in business development, sales or marketing in the online media sector
– Experience negotiating partnerships with major portals and/or ISPs
– Entrepreneurial/startup experience a plus
– Proven track record in business development, sales or marketing
– Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
