OK, so maybe it is not yet a trend, and not sure why it could become one, but two magazines are going that now:
– Business 2.0, which is a subscriber-only website, has launched its new issue as a complimentary PDF, using Texterity (more info on Om’s site)
– PR Week is also in a similar situation: subscription website and has now launched its PDF version, as a complimentary read (using Olive Software)…(via Micro Persuasion)
