That’s Terry Semel, CEO, speaking at Goldman Sachs Communacopia XIII Conference, being held today and tomorrow in NYC…he doesn’t expect his firm to buy a rival or be bought out by one, but he does envision another alternative. “Right now, when I focus, I see Yahoo as the perfect partner who could help traditional media,” Semel said.
Reuters: “We don’t want to look like television. They (audiences) don’t want us to be the programer,” said Semel, who noted that people want to choose what content they consume and when.
