Everyone wants to be the eBay of mobile content…in UK, Kwickee thinks it can. They’ve dubbed it “mobile information exchange”. Most of the content for sale is from ordinary people who just want to sell their creative work. It contains 10,000 “how to” guides, facts, reviews, soap operas, life experiences and adult fiction. Each piece is downloadable in three chunks of about 250 words to most Wap-enabled phones using GPRS.
The downside is the pricing, according to this story. Each piece costs between 50p and 1.50 GBP, which is not cheap when compared with the price of a newspaper, or a story printed free from the internet.
