This is interesting: U.K. low-cost airline Ryanair has bought the APS inflight entertainment system, a portable battery operated device, which it plans to launch on all its flights from March.
The new system will offer Hollywood movies, up to date chart videos, sitcoms and audio CDs at an introductory price of GBP 5, or EUR 7, per flight.
Reuters: Ryanair needs three percent of its passengers to use the units to cover its costs. Each plane will initially carry 24 entertainment units which would be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
