Evening Standard Ditches Covermount CDs For Digital Music

The London Evening Standard newspaper is launching a new digital media service, billed as a more commercially viable alternative to giveaway CD promotions.

The London Music Network (LMN) has been developed for the publishing firm by BigTime.tv, using BT’s digital technology platform, BT Rich Media.

The service enables readers to hear new, and sometimes exclusive, music through a combination of physical CDs and an on-line listening post available complimentary with the Evening Standard.
