Reed And Google In Talks To Share Revenues

Even though the story confuses it up, this is part of the “Google Print” program…the company added more offline magazines to the effort, as I reported in July, notable among them being from the Reed Business stable.

Now the two companies are in talks to share the ad revenues which come as a result of running ads (Google AdWords) on these pages (for example…see this page). Reed will receive a small payment for each user directed to one of its websites (which, again, sounds confusing, but it seems that Reed may be giving its content to Google for no fee, and this is a way to compensate Reed).

The story says that Reed could come to similar agreements with Yahoo and Microsoft.
